But it’s Monday and that means Club run WOOHOO!!!!
The return of our glorious leader from the US of A means we have 7 pace groups scheduled for tonight Run/Walk. 12-13mm. 11mm, 10mm, 9mm, 8:30mm and 7:30mm truly something for everyone! Meet as always at 6:40pm in the sports centre car park so runs can leave promptly at 6:45pm. Tonight also sees a special guest appearance from none other than Mr Jim Skelt who is visiting from bonnie Scotland!
THIS SATURDAY........
As part of the Legacy for Rio 2016, ITV and teamed up with the National Lottery so that we can all be part of Team GB by putting on the nations biggest sports day. Bracknell Park run has been selected as one of the locations to put on an #IAmTeamGB event and ITV will be SWITCHING OFF THEIR CHANNELS for an hour on Saturday morning to encourage as many people as possible to take part. Whilst obviously not an official club run it would be great to see as many BFR as possible at this event to publicise our amazing club to the people in Bracknell who don’t know about us. There is also a call to all bakers to bring along cake for the post run party! BAKERS YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!
If you can’t run for any reason, as always parkrun need heroes to volunteer to make the magic happen – if you can help email bracknellhelpers@parkrun.com to get on the roster.
MAIDENHEAD HALF (Championship race) has reopened entries due to popular demand – they are open until Midday Tuesday 23rd August so if you haven’t entered and want to run – not only is it a championship race but it’s also a fast flat course that comes highly recommended for a PB attempt!
