Club championship marathon choice
Hi Mike - I like China, too!
I think there is some merit in having a flat marathon to join/replace Beachy Head on the championship table, but I have concerns about it being London - or the other v big ones, because of the difficulty of getting a place. I am feeling a bit embittered just now by YET ANOTHER London rejection slip arriving through the door yesterday, which has focused the mind on this point. If London were on the club champ list that would preferentially advantage those racing snakes amongst us (not me) who can get a guaranteed place for their speedy times. The rest of us take our chances in the ballot! Maybe Marlow or something would be a possibility. I have heard that is a good one, and it is reasonably local, and not hard to enter?
PS I think this voting/forum thing is a good idea - you need to get out round V W lake a bit more often!
