South Downs Half Marathon - 17 Jun 2017.
In what seems just a few short years, although actually it is now 11, the South Downs Marathon and Marathon Relay have become classics on the Trail Running calander - which is not surprising when you look at the fantastic scenery on the route.

In 2012 we launched a half marathon as well, giving a wide range of options and turning the day into a festival of running - and with spectators and participants staying all day and enjoying picnics on the grass at the finish under Butser Hill this really does feel like a festival.

Half Marathon

Starting at Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield the half marathon follows a route through the Country Park then across fields to the Village of Chalton before picking up the Sussex Border Path, bringing you to the South Downs Way. The route then joins the Full Marathon route running west for 4 miles on the South Downs Way back through QE Park to the finish.

The Forest Five - 21 Jun 2017.
The Forest Five is Bracknell Forest Runners' own Summer event - traditionally held on a Wednesday evening in June. The course is an accurately measured 5 miles along forest tracks of grass and gravel through the scenic Windsor Forest.

Beat the Boat - 25 Jun 2017.
Coming to Windsor and Eton for 2017 is a completely unique 10km trail race for runners of all abilities brought to you by Runface & Datchet Dashers. On an out and back course from Eton & Windsor, you'll be taking on not just other runners, but a target pace boat full of spectators that will be tracking you and trying to beat you back to the finish line. All runners set off together in a traditional race format, with a difference, because just yards from where you start on the Brocas fields in Eton, the 3 Thames Cruise boats will be starting too and they'll be full of your friends and family members ready to cheer you on, as you try to beat the boat.

About the Course
The course is set under the beautiful backdrop of Windsor castle and is a flat 10km run on mixed terrain and is not suitable for spikes. Whilst most of the course follows the Thames path there are some sections that border fields and could become muddy if we have had persistent rain. There will be times when the course will deviate away from the Thames path to give the boats time to turn around but don't worry you will soon be back on their trail again and racing them home!
?
About the Boats
The three boats will be clearly labelled as 40/50/60 mins respectively. So when entering, its important for you to try and decide which boat you'll be taking on, based on your predicted finish time over the course. Faster runners will be looking to beat the 40 min boat, and would therefore want any supporters to be on-board that one, whereas people running closer to 50 or 60 mins, would be chasing those boats.

About the Event
This event is put on by runners, for runners and we'll be trying to ensure that everything we'd expect in a race will be provided. That will include water stations, friendly marshals, clear instructions, excellent facilities and a safe and fun environment that you'd expect when trying to beat several tonnes of river boat in a footrace along the thames path. All finishers will receive a bespoke medal, race themed technical T-shirt, on course support and hopefully a fun and unique morning trying to beat the boat.

Hart 4 Relays - 13 Aug 2017.
4 people per team
4k Trail course
4 hours to complete as many laps as possible

After a fabulously successful inaugural event in 2016 – where the Hart 4 received an overall score of 99% based on Runners World reviews - the Hart 4 is back in 2017, bigger and even better !
For those lucky runners that competed last year, the format and location remains the same.

The Hart 4 is a 4 hour relay event for teams of 4 on a 4km off road course at Minley Manor, Hampshire. The event starts at 10:30 on Sunday the 13th August and finishes four hours later at 14:30. During this time, teams will try to complete as many laps of the course as they can! There will be three team categories; male, female and mixed with prizes awarded to the first, second and third teams in each category. Laps started before 14:30 can be completed and will count towards the team total, so plan your laps to try to squeeze that last one in!

The 4km lap is an undulating, off road course through both the woods and grasslands of Minley Manor. It has a few hills but also plenty of flat sections, meaning it should be possible for those competing to get round quickly! Minley Manor is owned by the MoD and we are using it with their permission. As a result, no BBQs or open fires are permitted.

We have plenty of room on site for free car parking, the race village and areas for running clubs or friends and families to put up gazebos or tents, so if you have one, why not bring it with you. We will have a PA system playing music and providing updates throughout the day, so why not kick back in the shade of your gazebo, listen to some music and get ready for your next lap!

Last year the weather was glorious sunshine during the whole event, and we hope for the same this year so bring your families, children and friends and even a picnic and enjoy a day out in the Hampshire countryside. There will be entertainment for children including face painting, balloon modelling and competitions. We have catering on site so if you would rather not bring your own food, then why not take advantage of our catering partner HOMETOWN CATERING, who offer a range of bacon rolls, burgers and award winning Hampshire sausage rolls. We’ll also have an ice-cream van on site if you need to cool down!

We have increased the available places to 150 teams this year, but we expect to sell out well before our cut-off date of 1st August. So to enjoy the same great location, festival atmosphere and enjoyable competitive running event, ensure you secure your team place early.
The Hart 4 would not be possible without the support of our sponsors, so why not pop along to the race village during the event to meet them and view or sample their latest products.
